  • St Benet's Abbey

    1,000 years ago St Benet’s Abbey was a thriving monastery dominating the area in an isolated spot on Norfolk’s River Bure.

    Today the Norfolk Archaeological Trust owns St Benet’s Abbey and welcomes visitors to explore this beautiful site heaped with history and beauty. You truly must visit while in Norfolk and see the mill that is built within the original keep walls. Free tours are available.

  • East Ruston Gardens

    An exotic garden in an exposed prairie landscape by the North Norfolk coast

    A beautiful, 32 acre modern garden containing many garden rooms with herbaceous borders, gravel gardens, sub-tropical gardens, a box parterre, sunken rose garden, Mediterranean garden, Desert Wash and a large woodland garden — there really is so much to explore.

  • Museum of the Broads

    This waterside museum is family friendly and allows well behaved dogs, you can even hop on a river trip on the steam boat ‘ Falcon’.

    The museum’s story takes you from Roman times through medieval peat digging, to the holiday makers, sailors and environmentalists of today. Discover the boats of the Broads and see how people’s working lives shaped the landscape.

    The Museum’s collection shows how people have exploited the land and the waterways for food, transport and leisure. Many of the Museum’s Broads boats, tools, and associated items are unique. There are plenty of activities for all to enjoy.

  • Blicking Hall

    Blickling Hall is a stately home, part of the Blickling estate. It is located in the village of Blickling north of Aylsham, Norfolk and has been in the care of the National Trust since 1940.

    Immerse yourself in the history of the building or the beauty of the gardens and lake or wonder throughout the wider estate. Muddy Boots and The Stables Café offer a selection of hot and cold refreshments to keep you fuelled for a days exploring.

  • How Hill Trust

    The How Hill Trust is a renowned environmental educational charity, established in 1984. Situated between Potter Heigham and Wroxham, the landmark How Hill House overlooks beautiful gardens, wetlands, historic windmills, woodlands and the river Ant as well as having a tearoom for refreshments.

    The Trust is a totally independent charity. All profits made from their courses and events support their education work.

  • Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery

    The Castle site comprises the 900-year-old Castle and a large gallery complex converted from the City’s Victorian prison which remains open. It houses internationally important collections in archaeology, natural history, regimental history, and fine, decorative and contemporary art.

    Please note that some areas of the castle are currently closed for redevelopment.
