Discover the Norfolk Broads
The Broads are Britain's third largest inland waterway with seven rivers and three large broads to explore you won’t be disappointed with the abundance of wildlife that can be seen. The broads is a haven for a quarter of Britain’s rarest species including the crane, bittern and marsh harrier.
Paddling from Ferrygate offers several options, all with very little other water traffic; the very tranquil route to Somerton, the wilderness of Hickling Broad and Horsey Mere and the popular ‘Pub Paddle’ to Potter Heigham.
Boat Moorings - Long Term
Ferrygate Camping also has it’s own beautiful, safe and secluded boat moorings for long term lets. From our site you gain access straight on to the quieter and more untouched side of the Norfolk Broads and then onwards for 200kms and beyond.

Local Walks
From the campsite there are numerous countryside walks of varying distances. You can either walk alongside the River Thurne or other nearby footpaths. You can even walk to the coast if you wish to go further afield to pick up the Norfolk Coastal Path.
All of which enable you to enjoy the beautiful Norfolk scenery and allow you to stop off for refreshments in one of our lovely local pubs.
Please ask in Coffee Shack for a map.
