Pitches

Tents, Campervans or RoofTents …

As an ‘off-grid at one with nature’ site, our seven acre grass meadow is not marked out for set pitches - you are free to pitch where you choose.

Being off-grid means we have no electric hook ups or charging points and no chemical waste disposal facilities.

All bookings must have at least one person over the age of 21 years. Proof of ID may be required on arrival.

We have designated quiet hours between 10pm and 8am.

Toilets & Showers

Although we are off-grid…

we have splendid flushing loos and hot showers!

All are individual units with soap and loo roll provided and they are cleaned to a high standard.

The Coffee Shack is also off-grid and runs on solar!

Opening times:

Monday to Friday - 8am to 11am and 2pm to 5pm

Please note we reserve the right to stop the use of fires if our ground is too dry and it becomes a danger.

Arriving by bicycle

We’re Cycle Friendly ….

We have a lot of campers and visitors come to us on bicycles - under our shelwe have racks available for bikes to be locked to under our shelter.

In addition we have a basic repair kit, bike pump and water station to refill water bottles.

Our Private Launch Facility…

Ferrygate Camping has its very own access to the water. So if bringing your own SUP, kayak or canoe, then over 200kms of inland waterways await you within a few steps from your pitch (launching is free of charge to those staying at Ferrygate Camping).

Visitors are welcome to ‘Park and Paddle’ for £5 per person. Please note that dinghies, day sailing boats etc are not suitable or permitted to launch.

The dyke is privately owned so we kindly ask users to be respectful of other craft.
